Hi, I’m Danielle!

I’m a certified 500-hour yoga teacher, trained in ashrams in Kerala and Maharashtra, India. With 8 years of experience in yoga, I bring a wealth of knowledge and personal transformation to my classes.

I’m Bulgarian, and after many years abroad I am now based on the south coast of Bulgaria, near Burgas, where I share my work with the local and international community (links to studio locations and information about my offerings can be found in the “Yoga” section.).

Before settling in Bulgaria, I spent many years working in the corporate world while living in different countries. I’ve called Germany, the Czech Republic, Russia, Costa Rica, and Alaska home — each place shaping my perspective, broadening my understanding of people, and enriching the insight and empathy I bring to my work as a yoga teacher.

Yoga:

I am trained in authentic Hatha yoga, covering philosophy, anatomy, breathwork, and chakra work, with a foundation in traditional ashram practices — a blend of Shivananda and Bihar yoga.

Each year, I spend at least a month in India to deepen my practice, immerse myself in the teachings, and return to Europe to share the knowledge and essence of the experience in a way that is accessible and easy to integrate into the busy daily live of the people I work with.

Motorbikes:

I got my motorcycle license in autumn 2023, and within six months, I went from 0 to 2 bikes (both black and green). My first bike is a sporty Kawasaki Z, and soon after, I added a Honda Rebel, a cruiser.

Yoga and motorbiking complement each other beautifully. While yoga is a spiritual practice, riding a motorbike is also a discipline for mind, body, and spirit. The physical fitness, exposure to the elements (wind, rain, and sunshine), rituals, and focus — all of it comes together. There’s even a mudra for it.

Together, yoga and riding bring balance and joy to my life. These passions excite me every day, keep me grounded, and give me a sense of purpose and connection.

Yoga for riders

I am deeply grateful to my teachers at Govardhan School of Yoga in Maharashtra — Anmol, Aarti and Nimai Lila Das — and to my extraordinary mentor and constant source of inspiration, Sibel Ozkaia.
